Ted Cruz tells Michael Medved how he will unite the Republican Party
Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz will have a hard time uniting a disjointed party and he knows it.
But he told KTTH’s Michael Medved that he believes he can win a contested convention in Cleveland against Donald Trump because he is the only one who can defeat Hillary Clinton.
“If (the contested convention) happens, I’ll come in with a ton of delegates, Donald will come n with a ton of delegates, we will have a battle on the floor and I think we are in the much stronger position to prevail to earn a majority of the delegates who were elected by the people,” he said. “And if that happens, we are then going to work very, very hard to bring together those supporters of the other side who didn’t prevail in the election to come together and unify. It’s not an easy thing to do, it’s never an easy thing to do.”
Listen below for how Cruz plans to bring the Trump supporters to his side.
