OK, so here’s a little update in case you missed it:

Remember all that stuff you amazing people donated to Operation Airlift Japan? Well, turns out we couldn’t send some of it because of some issues with customs. So we took all the bottled water, the extra large clothing, and a bunch of food and blankets and we’re sending them to Alabama to help the people there who lost everything.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Detective Ed Troyer loaded up two semi trucks and sent them down south. Tomorrow morning at 6am, him and I are catching a flight to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to meet the truck and thousands of people living in parking lots who will be receiving your donations!

I’m really excited to have the opportunity to actually meet the people who we are helping. I’ll be able to do interviews and send their stories back to Seattle so you can hear about the people you helped.

Well, as usual our listeners have gone above and beyond to help people.

I chatted with Thomas Reynolds today who owns Super Cedar Fire Starter up in Mukilteo. He heard that the Red Cross needed BBQ supplies, so he got companies to donate BBQs, charcoal, BBQ sauces and rubs – and he’s sending 1,700 fire starters to Alabama.
