What Happened Today

Chris the Producer writes:

12 noon:

Dori started blogging after much thought. He’s giving you a chance to step into the show preparations and see what will be on the show tomorrow. Check out the blogs and bookmark his show page to stay up to date on the happenings of the Dori Monson Show. You will know before everyone else.

Senator Ted Kennedy thinks he can sing. Dori lets you be the judge, and I think you’ll agree that he is not the next American Idol.

Illegal immigration has been a hot topic for both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Yesterdays debates in Texas showed that they are on the same train of letting the illegal immigrants stay in the country and not raid any places that they work.

We also talked about illegal immigrant Alainiss N. Morales. Why is she important? She allegedly hit a school bus in Minnesota and the accident killed four children on the bus and injured 14 other people involved. What should we do? She wasn’t even supposed to be in this country and now four lives are taken away.

1 pm:

The housing crisis has been on many peoples minds. Senator Hillary Clinton has stated that if she is elected President she will put a freeze on all variable rate loans involved in the mortgage crisis. Shouldn’t there be some personal accountability?

You had a lot to say on this over the hour. So much in fact that I’m sure there is more to say here. Please let us know what you think. Should we be bailing out the people who made a bad investment? Are you one of the people in foreclosure. Let us know your story here.

2:00 pm

This week the voice of the Mariners, Dave Niehaus, was voted in to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Dori talked with him on Tuesday and he also became this weeks Call of the Week! Listen to the call of the week on our show page.

Golf has been a major past time for many people over the ages. More and more people are finding that they just don’t have the time to play the game now. This isn’t the only past time that people are giving up. Dori asks you, “What have you given up or reprioritized in order to make room for other things in life?”

Also on the show Dori talked about the 16 year old who now has 7 kids. The house she lives in was given to her as a hand out. What makes her really special is she just gave birth to her second set of triplets. The odds of just one set of triplets without any fertilizer drugs is 8,000 to 1. I mean this women should really come to Vegas hitting those odds twice. How will she pay for all those new children? How do you think, she is going to be asking for more handouts from the government. Don’t worry, she lives in Argentina so she won’t be asking us the foot the bill.
