Preview of The Big Show

Chris The Producer writes:

Here is what we are working on before the show:

Man Ruled Insane Getting Out After Five Years

  • Thomas Gene Gergen is potentially getting out of Western State Hospital five years after he killed his wife and unborn child. Thomas Gergen was ruled innocent in his murder trial by reason of insanity and was then committed to Western State Hospital. From there he has been treated for schizophrenia and has become what The Seattle Post-Intelligencer called a model patient. Now Western State is saying he is ready for an overseen release into the community. Is five years really enough of a punishment for taking a persons life? Now that the treatment has brought Mr. Gergen’s delusions in control should he be tried for the crime again?

We’re trying to get the Defense Attorney to come on the show with us to talk about the case. We’ll see if he will be able to make it.

Obama in African dress…does it really matter?

  • Yesterday a picture of Barack Obama was released on the Drudge Report showing Obama in a traditional African garb from Somalia. (Picture below) Drudge stated that a person from the Clinton campaign leaked the photo. The Clinton campaign has said everything but directly denying that the photo came from the campaign. Obama is crying foul, and saying this is a poor tactic from the Clinton campaign. With the gloves off the campaigns are set to really make a scene in tonight’s debates.

Is Ricky Really a sex offender?

  • A thirteen year old girl goes to a party and meets a sixteen year old boy. They sneak off and have sex. Now the boy is a registered sex offender for life and the girl admits that he did not force her to do anything. Is this too harsh of a punishment for the sixteen year old? Should he pay for a crime that to minors committed together? What about the parents? Where were they and why are they letting their daughter go to a party where she can go off and have sex? Most importantly, what do you think?

Darwin Awards

  • A man was killed after scuba diving with sharks. The thing was that they had chummed the water to attract the sharks and he was out in the water with zero protection and was not in a cage. Is anyone really surprised at the outcome?

Seattle Center…how much is fun worth?

  • Seattle’s City Council is taking a look into revamping the Seattle Fun Forest by possibly replacing the Forest with a small water park and demolishing Memorial Stadium and turning it into an Amphitheatre. How much will this cost you? It could cost as much as $650 million dollars. So the question really is, for much is fun worth?
