Ballpark Boys return to Safeco Field after visiting 30 MLB parks
The Ballpark Boys, four teens who traveled the U.S. visiting 30 major league baseball parks in 54 days, were welcomed back to town at the Mariners-Athletics game on Tuesday.
For Kellan Larson, Travis Smith, Kendal Young, and Jack Wilson, the journey was a “trip of a lifetime,” but the teens also raised money for the Martinez Foundation to help promote educational opportunities for minorities.
The teens were greeted by Edgar Martinez, who shook their hands and thanked them for their hard work.
Read about the Ballpark Boys’ trip, which included some van troubles, surviving the heat wave, and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico.
