A Kent man inadvertently shot himself in the groin on Thursday.

The Seattle Times reports that the man was handling his own handgun, that he thought was unloaded, when it went off.

The man was reportedly transported to Valley Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, and is not expected to be charged for the incident.
