Community Charity

Hopelink

Hopelink was established in 1971 when founders realized a need for families in crisis in King County, Wash. Since its inception, Hopelink has provided an integrated array of programs, enabling families to make progress toward self-sufficiency. As one of Washington’s thirty community action agencies, Hopelink’s social services are aimed at creating thriving communities, where people feel secure, connected and confident to seize opportunities and meet challenges.

Today, Hopelink offers assistance in eight different areas of service: food, housing, family development, adult education, financial education, transportation, energy assistance and emergency financial assistance. Through these programs, the organization delivers bags of food to schools and community centers, works to establish a habit of lifelong learning among participants, and provides eviction prevention support. Hopelink also serves as a refuge for families in crisis with their Emergency Feeding Service, Emergency Family Shelter, and Emergency Financial Assistance.

At its foundation, Hopelink believes everyone deserves a chance and that connected neighbors create healthy communities.
