It was a sad day in Tacoma on Friday. Fire, possibly arson, took down the historic centerpiece of the park’s Japanese garden. It is nearly 100 years old.

I even heard one rumor someone had been planning a wedding in the pagoda this weekend. I hope for their sake that the adage ‘the more things that go wrong at the wedding, the better marriage,’ holds true for that couple.
