With a population of about two million, Seattle was ranked number 9 in best places for business and careers, according to Forbes.

The Seattle metro area, also known as the ‘Emerald City’ because of its lush evergreen forests represents itself as the largest city in the Pacific Northwest.

The most iconic names in business such as Amazon.com, Costco, Microsoft, Nordstrom and Starbucks call the city of Seattle their home. Seattle’s Gross Metro Product is $203 billion and accounts for 1.9 million jobs, with the University of Washington being its largest employer.

This vibrant city has a lot to offer and Forbes says the Gross Metro Product is projected to grow.
