The favorite, Penelope Cruz, wins the first Oscar of the night. Very heartfelt thank you from Cruz to Woody and a Spanish sign off. Classy, through and through.

And I liked the way the five former winners of the award focused so much on each individual nominee. I trust they won’t spend so much time on the Sound Mixing Oscar or we could be here all night!

And about that Opening Huch Jackman number… What would happened if they did an Oscar Show and a Tony Show broke out????
