Pineapple Express’ potheads laugh it up at THE READER, et al. Clever premise for Apatow’s canned piece, mostly works. Good way to segue into a “who cares” category: Best Live Action Short. Would have been great if Apatow could have worked out a post-award scene with Franco and Rogen laughing at the winner (TOYLAND) since it’s another Holocaust tale. Bad choice but very predictable.
