A two-alarm fire broke out at the site of the former Rick’s strip club on Lake City Way Thursday night.
Reports say heavy smoke was seen billowing from the building around 7:15 p.m.
According to KING-TV, the fire started in a backroom. The extent of the damage is known, but the fire was extinguished quickly.
A Seattle Fire Department investigator says the cause of the fire is accidental.
The site, former run by Seattle’s Colacurcio family, was sold in auction to an unknown bidder last month for $2.35 million.
Feds seized Rick’s in May 2010 as part of the investigation into the now-deceased Frank Colacurcio Sr.
