Final defendant in Craigslist murder case goes to trial
The trial for the fourth and final defendant in the Craigslist murder case is set to begin Monday.
Clabon Berniard is accused of taking part in the murder of Jim Sanders, as well as burglary and assault in the Sanders Edgewood home on April 10, 2010.
The attackers got inside the house by responding to the family’s ad on Craigslist, selling a diamond ring.
Three co-defendants have already been convicted of the crime. Kiyoshi Higashi received a sentence of 124 years, Joshua Reese, a sentence of 100 years, and Amanda Knight is serving 71 years in prison.
