It’s that time of year when you can hear the roar of the Blue Angels across Lake Washington.

The arrival of the jets this week also means closures on the I-90 Bridge.

The Washington State Department of Transportation will close all lanes several times from Thursday, Aug. 4 to Sunday, Aug. 7 for the Angels’ practice and Seafair air show.

The WSDOT complies with the Federal Aviation Administration to create a safer experience for both drivers and the pilots.

Drivers are encouraged to cross the lake at least an hour before closure times. No stopping or parking is allowed on the floating bridges.

Closures are as follows:

Thursday:

9:45 am – noon, 1:15 – 2:40 pm (practice)

Friday:

12:45 – 2:40 pm (practice)

Saturday:

12:45 pm – 2:40 pm

Sunday:

12:45 – 2:40 pm
