Why is pop singer Adele being attacked for being a proud mother?

Adele is under assault from the left for talking about motherhood as being important.
The English singer and pop star recently told Vogue Magazine, “I can’t have any other junk in my head to worry about. When I became a parent I felt like I was truly living. I had a purpose, where before I didn’t.”
Up comes the outraged left.
Slate’s Elissa Strauss said that this is a bold statement from a celebrity mom and asked how could someone who put out one of the best-selling albums of all time feel like they didn’t have a purpose?
Well, I would say creating another human being is the greatest thing that anyone can ever do! You bring someone into the world and then are able to guide that human into being a fully-fledged person who can contribute to society. It surpasses anything you’ll ever do. And if doesn’t, there is something wrong.
It seems there is a consistent trend from the left that attacks mothers. Why? Have we really allowed ourselves to be divided so far by politicians and their targeted ad groups that we can’t even celebrate motherhood? If ObamaCare is for the children, maybe mothers can be for the children as well.
