EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Officials say 16 people were displaced and a dog died in a fire at a condominium complex south of Everett.
Everett Fire Department spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said in a news release that the fire was reported Friday afternoon at the 15-unit building in unincorporated Snohomish County.
Residents were able to evacuate safely and it took 60 firefighters less than an hour to put out the flames.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire’s cause.
