WSDOT putting emphasis on cutting work zone accidents
Distracted drivers and road construction equals a deadly mix on Washington state roads. In 2015, 35 out of Washington’s 39 counties experienced work zone accidents so this week the Washington State Department of Transportation is putting an emphasis on #GiveEmABrake.
Gov. Jay Inslee attended a #GiveEmABrake Memorial Event Wednesday to remember those killed and injured on the job.

One worker, Greg Blair, got to meet a couple who came to his aid after being struck by a semi on I-5 last year.

So now that we are in the height of road construction season, this is a great reminder to slow down and put your phone away #GiveEmABrake.
