Community Charity

Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation

The Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation (NWPF) has been named Bonneville Seattle’s Charity of the Month for June, for establishing optimal quality of life for the Northwest Parkinson’s community through awareness, education, advocacy and care.

NWPF was founded in 1998 with the vision of helping people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers live their best with Parkinson’s today, while anticipating the cure for tomorrow.

The NWPF supports specialty care, producing and distributing free educational and support resources, raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease and developing self-care tools that help improve quality of life for people with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers.

Since its beginning, NWPF has played a vital role in supporting the Northwest Parkinson’s community. NWPF’s strong partnership with Evergreen Healthcare led to the establishment of the Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center in 2001. The Center has grown into a state-of-the-art neurological care center.

The NWPF is also a founding member of the Alliance of Independent Regional Parkinson Organizations (AIRPO) that came together in 2014.
