A head-on collision on the Aurora Bridge early Sunday morning is the second crash in the same area in just three days.

All lanes on the bridge were closed for about 45 minutes after the crash involving two cars.

Police said a vehicle driving northbound on the bridge crossed over the center line and collided with a vehicle traveling southbound around 6:30 a.m.

The northbound driver told police he fell asleep, according to KING 5.

The southbound driver was transported to a hospital for minor injuries. The vehicles were towed and the Seattle Department of Transportation cleaned the fluid from the road.

On Thursday, a Ride the Ducks vehicle collided into the side of a charter bus carrying students from North Seattle College. Five people were killed and dozens more injured. The Aurora Bridge was closed for about 12 hours during the investigation.
